Changes on the Continent cloud our future “The Europe as you know it from visiting, from your parents or friends is on the verge of collapsing,” Geert Wilders said in a speech in the United States last year. The leader of the Netherlands’ populist Party for Freedom added: “We are now witnessing profound changes that will forever alter Europe’s destiny and might send the Continent in what Ronald Reagan called ‘a thousand years of darkness.’” And not just Europe, but America as well.Been to Europe lately? Thought it was bad? You ain’t seen nothing yet. The passage of the Lisbon Treaty, hailed by President Obama, nailed the coffin shut on national sovereignty in Europe. The people of Europe fought it, but were overwhelmed by their political elites and the lack of American leadership in this age of our rather Marxist, collectivist U.S. president. Come Jan. 1, 2010, a disastrous and suicidal pact called the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (Europe/Mediterranean) goes into effect with little fanfare or examination. It boggles the mind that such a consequential and seismic cultural shift could be mandated and put into play without so much as a murmur from the mainstream media. Why should Americans care about this?

Americans have to care because this global gobbledygook is coming to our shores, thanks to our globalist president. The European human rights group called Stop the Islamization of Europe (SIOE) has been working tirelessly to expose the mass Muslim immigration plan of the Euro-Med Partnership. A statement on the SIOE Web site criticizes the secrecy of the process: “It was shocking to hear about the plans and at the same time knowing that Danish politicians and a [cowardly] Danish press – who is otherwise proud to be critical – has told nothing to the Danish people about this project which begins in January. This also showed clearly at the conference. Only very few politicians showed up and no media. Those politicians who showed up had obviously never heard about the Euro-Mediterranean project.

The goal of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation is to create a new Greater European Union encompassing both Europe and North Africa, with the Mediterranean Sea becoming a domestic Eurabian sea. The goal is to establish a “comprehensive political partnership,” including a “free trade area and economic integration”; “considerably more money for the partners” (that is, more European money flowing into North Africa); and “cultural partnership” – that is, importation of Islamic culture into post-Christian Europe. According to the SIOE, in the Euro-Med plan “Europe is to be islamized. Democracy, Christianity, European culture and Europeans are to be driven out of Europe.

Fifty million North Africans from Muslim countries are to be imported into the EU.” Skeptical? It’s already happening. The British newspaper the Daily Express reported in October 2008 on “a controversial taxpayer-funded ‘job centre’ ” that opened in Mali at that time as “just the first step towards promoting ‘free movement of people in Africa and the EU.’ Brussels economists claim Britain and other EU states will ‘need’ 56 million immigrant workers between them by 2050 to make up for the ‘demographic decline’ due to falling birthrates and rising death rates across Europe.” To offset this decline, a “blue card” system is to be created that will allow card holders to travel freely within the European Union and have full rights to work – as well as the full right to collect welfare benefits. A Muslim population from Africa moving freely into Europe threatens America. On Christmas Day, a Nigerian Muslim flew from Amsterdam to Detroit and tried to explode a bomb on the plane – after he was allowed to board the plane without a passport.

The Euro-Mediterranean Partnership will make jihad attacks like this one all the easier. And once in Europe, Muslims have already begun demanding special privileges and accommodations. IslamOnline reported on Dec. 21 that “Muslims activists from 26 European countries have come together to launch the first rights council to enlighten European Muslims about their rights, monitor rising Islamophobia and defend Muslim rights in European courts of law.” Ali Abu Shwaima, a Muslim leader in Italy, explained: “We think European human rights groups are not doing enough to defend the rights of Muslims. Therefore we thought that we need this new council, especially that all laws and constitutions in Europe respect freedom of religion and oppose all forms of discrimination and racism.” “Islamophobia,” “discrimination” and “racism” are all terms Muslims in Europe and America use to confuse people into thinking that the perpetrators of Islamic terrorism are the real victims. And it is working: Mr. Wilders is going on trial in the Netherlands, instead of all the Islamic hate sponsors he is fighting against. It has to be this way, to increase harmony among the Muslim and non-Muslim member states of the Euro-Med Partnership. This internationalism is already destroying what has made Europe free and great. And now Mr. Obama seems to want to do the same to America.

ZURICH — Swiss voters Sunday approved a ban on the construction of new minarets on mosques, defying appeals from the government to reject the proposal and raising the specter of a new round of tensions in Europe concerning the role of Islam on the Continent.

The vote highlights the persistent conflict over the integration of Europe’s growing Muslim population into civil society. Earlier this month, France considered whether to bar Muslim women from wearing full-face veils, sparking a heated debate in which one French politician described burqas, or head-to-toe veils worn by very devout Muslim women, as “walking coffins.” The government issued a recommendation against wearing them, but stopped short of an outright ban.

European governments also have struggled in recent years with popular opposition to the construction of mosques — a backlash to the murder of a filmmaker in the Netherlands by a Muslim extremist, and to the reaction in some Muslim countries to the publication in Danish newspapers of cartoons of the prophet Muhammad.
More

The vote to ban the construction of minarets in Switzerland has set off an emotional debate on Islam in the Alpine nation.

The yes vote in Switzerland could raise interfaith tensions in a country that has largely escaped similar conflicts. In a surprise outcome, the Swiss voted strongly for the ban, with initial projections showing 58% of votes in favor of the initiative. Until about a month ago, polls had predicted that voters would solidly reject the ban, although support for the ban had been edging up in recent weeks.

The referendum, promoted by Switzerland’s right-wing People’s Party, sparked an emotional national debate over the place of Muslims in Swiss society. The party, arguing that the minaret is a symbol of Islamic intolerance, led a drive to call the referendum that collected more than 100,000 signatures, twice the number required.

Minarets are tower-like structures that are often used to launch the call to prayer for Muslims. In Switzerland only four of the country’s 150 mosques have minarets, and none are used for the call to prayer because of strict noise-pollution rules.

Swiss Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf released a statement saying the government respected the vote, but emphasized that it “is not a rejection of the Muslim community, religion or culture.”

Muslim leaders warned that a yes vote could damage relations with greater Swiss society. The yes vote “isn’t worthy of Switzerland,” said Farhad Afshar, president of the Confederation of Muslim Organizations in Switzerland. “Muslims no longer feel accepted in Switzerland, and that is a shame, because Islam in Switzerland is a model for other European countries.”

Swiss diplomats have quietly been reassuring leaders in Muslim countries that the government opposed the referendum. About 7%, or 14.5 billion Swiss francs ($14.4 billion), of Switzerland’s exports go to Muslim countries.

Adolf Hitler, a German dictator from 1934 to 1945, was spotted at the helm of an enormous flying saucer hovering over southern Texas this week. The appearance of the dictator surprised many, since he has not been seen since 1945 in a bunker during World War II, where he purportedly took his own life. History is being remade in the Texas atmosphere, and Inebriated reporter Mickey Spillane is there and reporting.

“Locals here in Smalltown Texas recognized Hitler through the window of a glowing orb hovering in space about the size of either a huge Chevy SUV or a Toyota Hybrid, depending upon which car salesman you’re talking to,” said Inebriated reporter Spillane, looking slim and fit, having cut down on trans fats and alcohol following his death in 2006. “Eye witnesses say Hitler was a little green looking but was still wearing the old swastika arm band, had the ugly patch-mustache and looked psycho. Sounds like the guy alright.”

Huckabee first in Lakelands, McCain second
Saturday, January 19, 2008 10:50 PM EST
Voters in the Lakelands closely mirrored their counterparts throughout the Palmetto State in Saturday’s Republican presidential primary.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Arizona Sen. John McCain ran neck and neck in the region, with McCain holding a slight edge.

Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson was a distant third. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was the fourth-leading vote-getter, with Texas Rep. Ron Paul rounding out the top five. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who largely ignored South Carolina to focus on the upcoming Florida primary, finished sixth in the Lakelands.

Across the Lakelands, Huckabee edged McCain in Greenwood County.

*
In a hotly contested race, Huckabee garnered 2,295 votes in Greenwood, while McCain picked up 2,262 votes. Connie Moody, director of elections and voter registration, said Huckabee slipped past McCain toward the end of the vote tallying.

“McCain looked like he had it the whole time,” Moody said. “Then, at the end, Huckabee slipped right on in there.”

A total of 6,807 votes were cast on a cold and rainy Saturday in Greenwood.

Former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson placed third in the county, netting 1,057 votes. Moody said the results will be certified at 10 a.m. Thursday at Park Plaza.

Others receiving votes included Thompson 1,057, Romney 847, Paul 220, Giuliani 97, Duncan Hunter 25, John Cox 2 and Tom Tancredo 2.

IN SALUDA COUNTY, McCain beat Huckabee 778-589. Thompson was a distant third with 279 votes. Romney garnered 200 votes, and Paul rounded out the top five with 73 votes.

Other vote-getters included Giuliani 19, Cox two and Hunter one. Tancredo was on the ballot, but didn’t receive any votes.

IN ABBEVILLE COUNTY, which is considered the birthplace of the Confederacy, Huckabee placed first with 905 votes. The former Baptist minister was the only Republican front-runner not to call for the removal of the Confederate flag from the state capitol grounds – an issue that has drawn national attention, as well as an NAACP boycott, for years here.

“You don’t like people from outside the state coming in and telling you what to do with your flag,” Huckabee told supporters Thursday in Myrtle Beach. “In fact, if somebody came to Arkansas and told us what to do with our flag, we’d tell ’em what to do with the pole, that’s what we’d do.”

McCain earned 540 votes. Thompson had 355, Romney 207, Paul 102 and Giuliani 11.

IN McCORMICK COUNTY, McCain won with 411 votes. Huckabee finished second with 237 [ only six votes more than Romney. Thompson was fourth with 181. Guiliani received 33 votes and Paul 21.

If you vote in the upcoming primary, please consider the future of my generation.

America is nation building and policing the world with money borrowed from nations like China.
Rep. Ron Paul of Texas stated on the floor of the House last year that Selective Service officials admit running a check of their list of available young men.

If the draft is reinstated, Rep. Paul said, we probably will include a kind of enslavement.

Instead of testing the efficacy of the Selective Service System and sending more troops, as well to serve the god of equality.

Conscription is slavery, plain and simple, and it was made illegal under the 13th amendment, which prohibits involuntary servitude. We should repeal the Selective Service Act. A free society should never depend on compulsory conscription to defend itself.

We get into trouble by not following the precepts of liberty or obeying the rule of law. Preemptive, undeclared wars fought under false pretenses are a road to disaster. If a full declaration of war by Congress had been demanded as the Constitution requires, this war never would have been fought.

I ask you to vote for life and liberty of future Americans, vote Ron Paul for president 2008.

SAN DIEGO — A U.S. Border Patrol agent pursuing suspected drug smugglers along the California-Mexico border was struck and killed Saturday by one of the fleeing vehicles, agency officials said.

The agent was trying to stop two vehicles that had illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico when he was hit, said agent Jeremy Schappell, a spokesman for the Border Patrol’s Yuma sector. He said the incident occurred about 9:30 a.m. in the Imperial Sand Dunes recreation area, about eight miles west of the border crossing at Los Algodones.

The name of the victim was being withheld until relatives could be notified, Schappell said. He said the man was a 6-year veteran of the agency.

The death, the first for the Border Patrol in 2008, drew a sharp response from U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, who called the incident a “heinous” act.

“Dangerous criminal groups have chosen to respond to our tougher security posture at the border with increased violence,” Chertoff said in a statement. “They mistakenly believe that we will give way in the face of violence. We will continue to show them how wrong they are.”

The incident was being investigated by the FBI, as well as officials from the Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the statement said.

Schappell said Border Patrol agents spotted a Hummer and a second vehicle that had crossed the border from Mexico illegally and chased them west on Interstate 8. The people inside the vehicles apparently saw they were being followed and turned into the dunes toward Mexico. The agent was attempting to stop them by placing spike strips in their path when he was struck by the Hummer, the spokesman said.

The agent died at the scene.

Reported assaults against Border Patrol agents have risen in many areas along the border in recent months, but the area of Saturday’s incident, in the southeastern corner of California, had been relatively quiet, Schappell said. From Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, the agency counted 19 assaults against agents in the Yuma sector, compared with 94 for the same period in 2006.

By contrast, assaults on agents in the San Diego area, where the Border Patrol has been involved in a series of clashes with rock-throwing smugglers, have risen dramatically. The agency said there were 90 assaults against agents between Oct. 1 and the end of 2007, five times as many as during the same period in 2006.

Two Views of The History of Islamic Slavery in Africa

By Susan Stephan
Slavery in the Arab World

Murray Gordon

New Amsterdam Books, New York, NY 1989

In his fact-filled work on the history of the Muslim Arab slave trade in Africa, Murray Gordon notes that this trade pre-dated the European Christian African slave trade by a thousand years and continued for more than a century after the Europeans had abolished the practice. Gordon estimates the number of slaves “harvested” from Black Africa over the period of the Muslim Arab slave trade at 11 million – roughly equal to the number taken by European Christians for their colonies in the New World.

“Despite the long history of slavery in the Arab World and in other Muslim lands, little has been written about this tragedy,” writes Gordon in his introduction. “Except for the few abolitionists, mainly in England, who railed against Arab slavery and put pressure upon Western governments to end the traffic in slaves, the issue has all but been ignored in the West.”
‘Conspiracy of Silence’ on Arab Slave Trade

Gordon decries a “conspiracy of silence. . .[that] has blocked out all light on this sensitive subject.” Among scholars in the Arab world, the author points out, “No moral opprobrium has clung to slavery since it was sanctioned by the Koran and enjoyed an undisputed place in Arab society.”

The book starts out with a brief outline of the growth of the Islamic attitude toward slavery. There is no evidence that Muhammad sought to abolish slavery, notes Gordon, although he urged slave-owners to treat their slaves well and grant them freedom as a meritorious deed.

“Some Muslim scholars have taken this to mean that his true motive was to bring about a gradual elimination of slavery. Far more persuasive is the argument that by lending the moral authority of Islam to slavery, Muhammad assured its legitimacy. Thus, in lightening the fetter, he riveted it ever more firmly in place.”

To those hypocrites that think Prussian Blue lyrics are extreme

To those who claim that Prussian Blue’s lyrics are hateful and incite violence, I would like to direct you to the poetry of Nikki Giovanni, the Virginia Tech professor of English and Black studies- who was also, incidently, the professor for Cho Seung-hui, the gunman/student, who shot and killed all those people a few weeks ago. I wonder if that is where he learned his contempt for other races and other people. Nikki Giovanni certainly writes very hatefully of White people. The truth about who does and does not “hate” has never proved an effective restraint for what is written in the mainstream media, nor has it acted as an impetus to action in the professional- victims’ groups that target Prussian Blue.

Peter Tatchell, the rights campaigner, and Richard Fairbrass, the lead singer in the Right Said Fred pop group, were assaulted by anti-gay activists in Moscow, as violence erupted at a protest calling for the right to hold a gay pride parade.

Nationalists chanted “death to homosexuals” while throwing kicks, punches and eggs at the protestors, who were trying to present a petition signed by 40 MEPs to Mayor Yuri Luzhkov asking him to lift the ban on the parade. The mayor has made openly homophobic remarks in the past, calling such marches “satanic”.

About 31 demonstrators were detained by police, although most were released by last night.

Mr Fairbrass was left with a deep gash under his left eye and blood pouring down his face after receiving several blows to the head, while trying to speak to journalists. Peter Tatchell, co-founder of the direct-action gay rights group Outrage! and member of the Green Party, was also badly beaten before being arrested by riot police.

Mr Tatchell described the eruption of violence at the banned protest by about 100 demonstrators, held to mark the 14th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Russia: “We arrived at City Hall and were immediately surrounded by neo-Nazis, who began to crowd and infiltrate our group. The Moscow police and riot squad gave them a free hand to attack people. I was punched in the eye, pushed to the ground, and kicked all over my body by six people. The riot police then moved in and arrested me, allowing my attackers to go free.”

Mr Tatchell accused the Moscow police of colluding with the anti-gay protesters, claiming: “There seemed to be a connivance between them. They only began arresting the neo-Nazis when it was clear that journalists had footage of the attacks.”

He was escorted to a local hospital to assess the extent of his injuries, then taken to the police station to make a statement, before being released without charge.

A German MP, Volker Beck, and a European Parliament deputy from Italy, Marco Capatto, were similarly subjected to punches before being arrested and questioned by police.

Gay activists were also attacked by right-wing protesters and arrested during a similar march last year. Some campaigners believe orthodox Christian and Muslim groups are encouraging the government to overlook such attacks.

The incident prompted Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, to announce she would raise the issue of human rights with President Vladimir Putin at next month’s G8 summit in Germany. “It has been shown once again today that human rights are systematically abused in Putin’s Russia,” she said in a statement.
