We’ve all seen the signs erected by highway construction sites that say, “Your tax dollars at work.” Well, Gov. Sonny Perdue might as well start putting up similar signs at the entrances to Georgia’s colleges and universities that say, “Your tax dollars at work: Educating illegals.”

North Carolina just joined seventeen other states which have begun to move forward to pass similar laws to that of Arizona regarding immigration. With the citizens of our country polling between 61 and 80% in favor of Arizona’s law, it only makes sense that more states will follow suit. North Carolina’s Senate Joint Resolution SJ1349 has been filed by State Senator Don East (R), and already has garnered 12 sponsors. The other states that are in the process of or already have similar legislation are: Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.

These, of course, were not the first states which began the process towards curtailing illegal immigration. Missouri passed a measure similar to that of Arizona in 2009. Surprising to most people, California, passed their 834b immigration law long before Arizona’s bill. Now that state, and cities within it, demand Arizona’s repeal of the law and has boycotted that state’s businesses.

It doesn’t take a state to pass legislation regarding immigration as Prince William County, Virginia proved They passed their bill in 2007 and now report a 38% drop in violent crime, fewer “anchor babies” born and a significant drop in “English as a Second Language” enrollment. What’s most interesting is that there has not been a single racial profiling claim made against the county in those three years.

To add support to Arizona’s endeavors, Chuck Canterbury, National President of the Fraternal Order of Police, stated his strong support for the law enforcement officers of Arizona. Canterbury said, “Our members in Arizona are justifiably offended with some of the assumptions that have been made by the media, pundits, and even elected officials who insinuate or state outright that these professional law enforcement officers will use the new law as a pretext to engage in unlawful racial profiling.” He continued, “They are angry and rightly so”

In Arizona where they have just passed a very important bill to uphold federal law regarding illegal immigration.

The vast  majority of folks support  this bill and many states are following suit. But there are people who want to continue to flood our country with illegals.  They support open borders leaving us vulnerable  to crime and acts of terrorism. It’s not just Mexican illegals crossing our borders, but many terrorists from other countries who have attempted to sneak in over the years and who knows how many have gotten through.

The “open borders crowd” includes  many government officials and the executive branch of the government.  The want to continue to flood the country with illegals,  give them amnesty and then let  them vote. They do not care about our security, they just want the votes.

See the link below – people being bused in from other states – and think about this – people who have no right to be in this country in the first  place demanding that we cave in to their demands.  It is an outrage.

Please call the illegal alien hotline today.  The toll free number is 866-347-2423. I called earlier today.  You will go through some prompts but eventually get a person.   I calmly and politely told the person that  pro-illegal demonstrators were going to the state capital and that there would be many illegals there.  I asked if someone from their organization (Homeland Security) was planning on going there to make arrests.  (If Homeland Security and the government were doing its  job, the problem would have been solved long ago.)

Illegal immigration has bankrupted many states and continues to do so. A third of our jail population consists of Mexican nationals here illegally.

Go right to the people responsible for making arrests and hold them accountable.

PLEASE CALL!!!
Email and call everyone you know to do the same.   If you have a website or blog or are on any  of the networks, like Facebook or Twitter, please post.  If you can’t get through today, keep trying and make several calls per week.  Let  the people entrusted with our safety know we are holding them accountable.

More Americans agree with how Jan Brewer sees the immigration problem than the views of Barack Obama.

But that doesn’t mean they want her to be president.

In a new nationwide Rasmussen Reports survey taken in the days after the pair met — a meeting that gained national attention — 34 percent of the 1,000 likely voters said their views on illegal immigration are closer to that of the president. By contrast, 56 percent said they more closely aligned with those of Brewer.

The pair had sharply divergent opinions on what to do about the issue.

Obama, after their meeting, repeated his call for “comprehensive immigration reform.’’ The White House said that includes more border security but also includes a path to legalization for at least some of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants already in the country.

In her own comments following the closed-door discussion at the White House, Brewer said it would be wrong to try to address the question of those already here until the border is secured. She said previous attempts that included what she called “amnesty’’ did nothing to solve the underlying problem of people crossing the border illegally or remaining in this country after their visas expired.

The survey also found that 64 percent of those asked believe the federal government is to blame for the controversy surrounding Arizona’s new immigration law, which requires police to check the immigration status of those they have stopped when there is “reasonable suspicion’’ they are in the country illegally. That blame is based on the government not enforcing its own immigration laws.

Just 27 percent blamed the controversy on Arizona officials for passing the law in the first place.

But the agreement by those questioned with Brewer’s views on immigration are not enough to convince a majority that she should be running the country.

The survey, conducted Monday and Tuesday, found 39 percent would vote for Brewer in a head-to-head race with Obama. The incumbent would pick up 44 percent, with 8 percent unsure and 9 percent saying they don’t like the choice at all and want someone else entirely.

It’s possible, though, the result is based on ignorance of a sort: Asked their impression of the Arizona governor, 26 percent said it was very or somewhat favorable, 20 percent very or somewhat unfavorable — with fully 54 percent said they were not sure what to think of her.

The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

PHOENIX — A Glendale optometrist’s year-long legal fight over what services he had to provide for a Spanish speaking customer is going to help provide new protections to other businesses.

Gov. Jan Brewer has signed legislation spelling out that nothing in state law requires businesses to provide “trained and competent'' interpreters when a customer comes in speaking a language other than English.

Assistant Attorney General Michael Walker said that’s probably always been the law. But that didn’t stop John Schrolucke from having to spend time and money defending himself and his dental practice before Walker’s office finally dismissed the case.

Schrolucke told lawmakers the whole incident stems from a woman speaking only Spanish who came into his office.

Schrolucke said the woman did bring her 12-year-old child with her. But he said allowing the child to interpret for the parent would have gotten him into legal trouble.

Potentially more significant, Schrolucke said he faced a potential malpractice lawsuit if the child did not properly translate some of the more technical explanations being provided.

So he turned the woman away, telling her through her child to come back with someone at least 18 years old. Schrolucke said he also gave the woman the option of going to one of two other optometrists who speak Spanish.

Instead, he said, the woman filed a discrimination complaint with the Attorney General’s Office.

State law prohibits discrimination in places of “public accommodation against anyone because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin or ancestry.” That category includes restaurants, hotels, theaters and any place that offers services or goods to the general public.

Schrolucke said he was given an option to settle. But that would have required him — and anyone who bought his business — to provide interpreters and documents in Spanish, something he said would set a bad precedent for not only his operation but other small businesses.

A year after the complaint was filed it was dismissed after the Attorney General’s Office concluded there had been no civil rights violation.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Upset with the whole process, Schrolucke approached Sen. John Huppenthal, R-Chandler, who agreed to sponsor what he called “clarifying language to the state’s civil rights law.

“Nobody should be treated like this”  Huppenthal said.

“It’s nightmare to go through this,” the senator continued. “He was drug through the mud by us,” saying what happened was “really, in a sense, despicable but most certainly unfortunate.”

Walker, who is the litigation chief of the civil rights division, offered his own apology “for what does occasionally end up as state bureaucratic confusion.”

But Walker told lawmakers that his agency is legally obligated to investigate complaints of discrimination. He said the system worked — eventually — when the complaint was dismissed.

Huppenthal introduced identical legislation last year. While it was approved by a Senate panel it never made it to the full Senate floor.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer has signed a bill targeting a school district’s ethnic studies program, hours after a report by United Nations human rights experts condemned the measure. State schools chief Tom Horne, who has pushed the bill for years, said he believes the Tucson school district’s Mexican-American studies program teaches Latino students that they are oppressed by white people.Public schools should not be encouraging students to resent a particular race, he said. “It’s just like the old South, and it’s long past time that we prohibited it,” Horne said. Brewer’s signature on the bill Tuesday comes less than a month after she signed the nation’s toughest crackdown on illegal immigration — a move that ignited international backlash amid charges the measure would encourage racial profiling of Hispanics. The governor has said profiling will not be tolerated. The measure signed Tuesday prohibits classes that advocate ethnic solidarity, that are designed primarily for students of a particular race or that promote resentment toward a certain ethnic group. The Tucson Unified School District program offers specialized courses in African-American, Mexican-American and Native-American studies that focus on history and literature and include information about the influence of a particular ethnic group. For example, in the Mexican-American Studies program, an American history course explores the role of Hispanics in the Vietnam War, and a literature course emphasizes Latino authors.Horne, a Republican running for attorney general, said the program promotes “ethnic chauvinism” and racial resentment toward whites while segregating students by race. He’s been trying to restrict it ever since he learned that Hispanic civil rights activist Dolores Huerta told students in 2006 that “Republicans hate Latinos.” District officials said the program doesn’t promote resentment, and they believe it would comply with the new law.

One week after five high school students in California were sent home for wearing the American flag on their tee shirts, and I’m still waiting on that liberal righteous indignation. Nary, a peep. They fogghorned for days about Rush Limbaugh calling the Obama administration a ‘regime’. They flipped out over Sarah Palin posting targets of congressional districts on her website. But, take away someone’s first amendment rights, and… total silence. The five, white, male, students wore the American flag shirts to school on Cinco de Mayo. Now, let’s face it, Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in the U.S. mainly by Gringos in Mexican restaurant chains. Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez scooped the boys up and told them to turn the shirts inside out, or go home. Rodriguez was supposedly concerned about the boys attire being ‘incendiary’, and possibly causing fights with Mexican students. So, instead of protecting the minority’s (the white five) right to dress as they please, the A.P. lets them know that “might makes right”. The school basically told the boys, “We can’t control the Mexicans, so you five have to do the wrong thing.” The next day, in full backpedal mode, the district superintendent said, “The Morgan Hill Unified School District does not prohibit nor do we discourage wearing patriotic clothing. The incident on May 5 at Live Oak High School is extremely unfortunate. While campus safety is our primary concern and administrators made decisions yesterday in an attempt to ensure campus safety, students should not, and will not, be disciplined for wearing patriotic clothing. This matter is under investigation and appropriate action will be taken.”We’re still waiting, not holding our breath, but still waiting for that action to be taken. You would think that by now, the school board’s shysters would have thrown out the standard two paragraph apology, along with some bogus policy review, and, of course, some diversity training for the assistant principal.

The Terminator’s chickens are finally coming home to roost in California. The biggest free lunch state is about to come crashing down. Illegal aliens cost the state of California $13.1 billion per year, but (unlike Arizona) California would rather go bankrupt than deport needy Third World people.

An article on the Bloomberg.com website reports “California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will seek ‘terrible cuts’ to eliminate an $18.6 billion budget deficit facing the most-populous U.S. state through June 2011, his spokesman said. Schwarzenegger, 62, who will introduce his revised budget plans on May 14, has said he won’t seek tax increases to bolster California’s finances.”

He doesn’t dare raise taxes again. Businesses have been fleeing the state in record numbers. A Global Warming Act that California enacted has already put a number of businesses with large diesel trucks out of business because it mandates replacing perfectly good engines with brand new engines in the middle of a Depression. The John and Ken show has often quoted a study by two Cal state professors that estimates the Global Warming Act will kill over a million jobs in the golden state. Many business owners are literally living day-by-day uncertain which new crazy liberal-socialist-green law will be the one that turns them unprofitable and forces them to close.

What’s left of the state’s productive White tax base is on the brink of flight from California and even a liberal idiot like Ahnold can finally understand he dare not rape them with higher taxes any further. Unless an individual is literally making hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in Los Angeles or San Francisco, he will wind up living in some high crime neighborhood and he won’t have enough money to send his kids to private (meaning safe, mostly White) schools as the public schools became unusable for Whites for a long, long time.

The Bloomberg article notes “California’s revenue in April, when income-tax payments are due, trailed the governor’s estimates by $3.6 billion, or 26 percent. The gap wiped out gains from the previous four months, leaving collections $1.3 billion behind projections for the budget year that ends in June. Schwarzenegger’s newest plan will revise the proposals introduced in January to account for the tax-collection shortages. In January, the governor said California may have to eliminate entire welfare programs, including the main one that provides cash and job assistance to families below the poverty line, without an influx of cash from the federal government.”

California has a majority non-White population that is quickly driving it to bankruptcy. Just one Mexican family with four children in Los Angeles will create a tax burden of 1.2 million dollars for the cost of public school alone. If the Feds don’t bail out California, its parasites will spread out like fleas from a dead animal seeking healthier hosts. California’s problems are about to become the rest of the country’s problems.

The Bloomberg article continues “Since then, the Democrat-controlled Legislature has made few strides toward closing the budget hole. Democrats this week introduced a package of bills that would raise as much as $2.9 billion annually by imposing a 10 percent severance tax on oil production in the state, repealing corporate-tax breaks approved last year to spur job growth and assessing commercial property taxes differently.”

If they change the property tax system, they could easily tax millions of elderly White Californians out of their homes. That’s why Proposition 13 was put into law in the first place because people were literally being taxed out of their homes in the 1970s due to rising property values. Property taxes used to be temporary measures to pay for a war, not some permanent burden or “rent” that the state government collects. What’s the point of “owning” property if the government can force you out with an ever increasing exorbitant property tax?

The legislature in California is literally insane. It’s made of lunatic Mexican socialists, deranged liberals who can’t do math and closet communist Jews. In previous generations when the state was 90 percent White, the California legislature had sane White men, who planned ahead, built water pipelines that went over mountain ranges and who built freeway systems to keep up with the population. Today the freeways are clogged for most of the day and there seems to be a permanent “drought” which is really a water shortage caused by millions of illegal aliens.

Some economic experts are predicting that the next big financial disaster in store for America will be the states going bankrupt one by one, demanding federal bail outs to save them. California appears to be there already.

Several months ago, this nation witnessed the murder of 13 men and women in uniform at Fort Hood, Texas, and serious injuries to 29 others – all in the name of “political correctness.” Now, the Obama administration refuses to release the files relative to this attack.

Why? What does the administration have to hide?

It is my belief that the release of these records would prove to be an indictment of this administration. In spite of the obvious warnings given by Nidal Malik Hasan, the accused gunman, “diversity” and “political correctness” were more important than common sense.

Were the lives of these 13 soldiers and the life-changing injuries to others worth this extreme experiment in “political correctness” and “diversity?” Are we willing to sacrifice others?

Radical Islam is a violent, fourth-century religion. The daily atrocities against women and children in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan are clear indications that Islam is not the “peaceful religion” that our leaders have assured us it is.

It took Faisal Shahzad trying to set off a car bomb in Times Square to get President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano to finally use the word “terrorism.” (And not to refer to Tea Party activists!)

This is a major policy shift for a president who spent a month telling Americans not to “jump to conclusions” after Army doctor Nidal Malik Hasan reportedly jumped on a desk, shouted “Allahu Akbar!” and began shooting up Fort Hood.

After last weekend, now Obama is even threatening to pronounce it “Pack-i-stan” instead of “Pahk-i-stahn.” We know Obama is taking terrorism seriously because he took a break from his “Hope, Change & Chuckles” tour on the comedy circuit to denounce terrorists.

In a bit of macho posturing this week, Obama declared that — contrary to the terrorists’ wishes — Americans “will not be terrorized, we will not cower in fear, we will not be intimidated.”

First of all, having the Transportation Security Administration wanding infants, taking applesauce away from 93-year-old dementia patients, and forcing all Americans to produce their shoes, computers and containers with up to 3 ounces of liquid in Ziploc bags for special screening pretty much blows that “not intimidated” look Obama wants America to adopt.

STOCKHOLM (AP) – A Swedish artist who angered Muslims by depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a dog was assaulted Tuesday as furious protesters interrupted his university lecture about the limits of artistic freedom.

Lars Vilks told The Associated Press a man leaped from the front row and head-butted him as he was delivering his speech, breaking Vilks' glasses but leaving him uninjured. Two people were arrested but it wasn't immediately clear whether the attacker was among them.

A video clip of the incident by a Swedish newspaper showed police using pepper spray and batons to hold off an angry crowd shouting “God is great” in Arabic after Vilks was escorted out of the lecture hall.

Vilks has faced numerous threats over his controversial drawing of Muhammad with a dog's body, but Tuesday's incident was the first time he has been physically assaulted.

Earlier this year U.S. investigators said Vilks was the target of an alleged murder plot involving Colleen LaRose, an American woman who dubbed herself “Jihad Jane,” and who now faces life in prison. She has pleaded not guilty.

We awake to news that after extraordinary police work, investigators have made an arrest in the attempted car bombing of Times Square in New York.  Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani native-turned-naturalized-U.S.-citizen, was taken into custody late last night. He was naturalized last year, and shortly thereafter, made a trip to Peshawar, Pakistan–a hotbed of Islamic terrorist activity and recruitment.

I have read countless reports about the arrest, in newspapers and websites big and small.  So far, I have not seen a single mention of his faith.  Not a single reference to his being Muslim.  We’re left to deduce that by his Pakistani ethnicity and name.

Political correctness has stripped us of our ability to be brutally honest about the nature of the threat we face.  It’s not from a bunch of maniacal Catholics or Jews or Hindus or Buddhists.  The lethal threat is coming from radical Muslims.  Even after September 11, even after repeated terror attacks and attempts here and abroad, we still cannot be truthful and outspoken about it?  Pathetic.

This suicidal inability to call the enemy what it is comes straight from the top:  the President will not go anywhere near the words “Islam” and “terror” together.  His administration has contorted itself into all kinds of politically correct gymnastics to avoid making the connection, going so far as to term acts of terror as “manmade disasters” and the fight against it as “overseas contingency operations.”

He refused to speak the truth about the motivation of Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who killed 13 fellow Americans in the name of Islam, and would not make the connection with the Christmas Day bomber, Abdulmutallab.  He refused to “jump to conclusions” about what propelled them to try to kill Americans (although he had no problem “jumping to conclusions” about Sgt. Crowley of the Cambridge Police and the Arizona immigration law.)

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg made a ridiculous statement before the arrest, suggesting it could be “someone…that doesn’t like the health care bill.”

Bloomberg’s comment was idiotic, but he’s not the Commander-in-Chief.  Obama was notified of the arrest five minutes after midnight.  We’ve gotten a statement from his Attorney General, but as of 8:30am ET, still no statement from the Commander-in-Chief.

Unless and until we can call the enemy and what drives him to kill us what they are—Muslims propelled by their religious belief—we cannot and will not win this war.

In today’s political discourse, you are not deemed qualified to speak about issues such as profiling unless you are a racial minority. Therefore, as much as it violates my conservative instinct for a colorblind argument, I reluctantly mention that I happen to be a brown-skinned immigrant with an accent. In other words, if profiling was a phenomenon that is as rabidly rampant in America as liberals allege, then I would be among those who are routinely profiled and regularly questioned by police.

I have lived in America for nearly 30 years and have driven in at least 25 states—and have never had a cop stop me for a frivolous reason. The few times that I have been stopped, I was at fault—mostly for (unwittingly) exceeding the speed limit.

Some years ago, I was questioned by a state trooper in Arizona. I was visiting Arizona and was on my way to Canyon de Chelly (a scenic canyon with none of the maddening crowds of the Grand Canyon). I had stopped on the side of the road to check the map, when the lights flashed behind me. I explained to the officer that I stopped to check my route. That was it. He didn’t even ask me for my license, which I would have gladly presented. I am sure the officer saw nothing in my demeanor that aroused any suspicions. I was polite to him but not afraid of him. I had no reason to be afraid—I knew I was a legal immigrant and there was nothing to fear. If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about.

For you folks in California and New York who have no clue and yet are ready to declare war on the good folks in Arizona for defending their state from illegal aliens, maybe you should figure out which side you’re on before shooting your mouths off. I’m sorry; Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano claims there’s no problem with illegal aliens along our southern border ; Bill Clinton never told a lie and the check’s in the mail, yeah, right.

I read where a federal judge in New York awarded an illegal alien $145,000 because he was held past the two day limit and never picked up by ICE to be deported. He has a lengthy criminal record according to police but was permitted to post bond and then skipped out on his court date after having been arrested with crack cocaine in his pocket. Did they have to give him his illegal drugs back or did the federal judge use them prior to handing out taxpayer money to an illegal alien; who said crime doesn’t pay?

Why bother explaining important issues to folks in California or New York; go back to your latte, this has nothing to do with you anyway. Bail out money from more responsible states is on the way because you both are too big to fail.

It amazes me that there are such vehement protests over the new Arizona immigration law. It is modeled after the federal law that has been in effect for about 70 years and pol pot victims was passed to protect our country and our citizens. Since the federal government has been unable or unwilling to enforce the law, it is up to the states to protect its citizens especially when citizens are being killed by illegal crossings. There have been a lot of myths perpetuated by and hysterical media about this law. My job today is to debunk three of these myths.

Myth #1: Arizona is the new Nazi Germany. I have heard this over and over again. The Left and even some conservatives claim that a Phoenix police officer examining one’s immigration status, so one can deport an illegal alien is akin to an SS storm trooper forcing a Jew to document their inferior status with papers so one can be marched to a gas chamber. Even the Phoenix Suns jumped the bandwagon as their team donned “Los Suns” jerseys in protest and their General Manager Steve Kerr likened the Arizona Immigration Law to Nazi Germany.  This is a ridiculous comparison and hampers any reasonable discussion on the matter. It is such a knee jerk reaction for some to throw out the Nazi label just because one disagrees with the opposing side. Do you want to know what is like Nazi Germany? There are so few parallels of such evil– Soviet gulags under Stalin, the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia, and the Armenian genocide in Turkey. That’s it. Any rational person agrees Arizona should not be lumped in the same category with such atrocities. Even Chris Matthews agrees with the foolish nature of the overuse of the Nazi label:

Myth #2: The Arizona law is racist and will lead to racial profiling. Even President Obama stirred up this hornet’s nest when he told a crowd in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Now, suddenly, if you don’t have your papers, and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to get harassed — that’s something that could potentially happen… That’s not the right way to go.

This is a blatant lie, Mr. President—unless you steal the ice cream or commit some other crime while doing so, and are here illegally, in which case, you have every reason to expect the federal government to “harass” you.

President Obama is either uninformed about the new Arizona immigration law or, as is almost certainly the case, he is playing politics with the situation in order to win the highly coveted Hispanic vote for the Democratic Party. In either case, his statement about Latinos being afraid to attend ice cream parlors in Arizona now that the new immigration law has passed border on the absurd, and his use of the phrase “don’t have your papers” can only be intended to hearken back to Nazi Germany, which goes back to Myth #1.

There is nothing in Arizona’s new law that would allow police to randomly stop by an ice cream parlor and begin harassing Hispanic patrons. The Arizona law specifically forbids racial profiling. Officers ask about immigration status only if people have been detained for a crime or pulled over for a traffic violation such as speeding. An officer would then ask for driver’s license and registration (just like they do whenever I, or anybody else, is pulled over for speeding) and when the driver produces no legal residence in the nation— viola! There is now reasonable suspicion that the driver is possible an illegal alien. I’m quite sure that eating ice cream does not constitute reasonable suspicion that someone is in the country illegally, and unlike the President, I have confidence that police officers can make reasonable decisions about difficult issues just like they did every day before this law passed.

Myth #3: The Arizona Law is unconstitutional because ONLY the national government can enforce immigration law. The idea that foreign affairs is exclusively the province of the federal government is commonly asserted. But this not necessarily true– at least if one respects the Constitution’s text and original understanding.

Although Article I Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress the power to make naturalization laws, nowhere does the Constitution specifically mention which level of government enforces immigration policy. One could make the argument that states have the right to enforce immigration policy, especially if the federal government has been negligent, due to the Tenth Amendment.

Let me explain. The Constitution gives the federal government supreme authority over foreign policy. Congress and the President can pre-empt an issue by exercising one or more of their enumerated powers. If Congress dislikes a state action in that realm, Congress can pass a law overriding it. However, if Congress has not acted or acted incompletely, the states have certain reserved powers, thanks to the Tenth Amendment, to act on their own. In other words, the Constitution acknowledges concurrent, although subordinate, state authority over foreign affairs – including immigration.

So, due to the federal government’s inaction to secure the border, Arizona feels compelled to take action where the Feds have failed. Undocumented people are a drain on the precious resources of Arizona—there are about half a million in Arizona.

This is especially concerning in times of state budget cuts. In 2006 it was estimated that Arizonan taxpayers were burdened with annual costs of about $1.3 billion because of illegal aliens residing in the state due to incarceration, health care and education costs. It is little wonder that Arizona has decided to take action.

Hopefully, with some of these myths debunked, America can have a rational and sensible immigration debate. I look forward to it.

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has already expressed his opposition to Arizona's controversial new immigration law, and in a commencement address he gave Monday in Atlanta, he couldn't help but take a crack at the law.

“I was also going to give a graduation speech in Arizona this weekend. But with my accent, I was afraid they would try to deport me,” the Republican governor joked in his speech at Emory University.

Arizona's new law, slated to go into effect in July, requires immigrants to carry documents verifying their immigration status. It also requires police officers to question a person about his or her immigration status after a “lawful stop” if there is “reasonable suspicion” that person may be illegally

KACHA PUKA, Pakistan – Two burqa-clad suicide bombers attacked people who had fled a Pakistani offensive against the Taliban close to the Afghan border, killing 41 as they lined up Saturday to register for food and other relief supplies.

The victims were among around 200,000 people to have left Orakzai since the end of last year, when the Pakistan army began offensive ground and air operations against militants based in the remote, tribally administered region.

The registration point in Kohat region was managed by the local administration, but sometimes used by foreign humanitarian groups, including the World Food Program, to deliver aid. There was no claim of responsibility, which is not unusual when bomb attacks kill ordinary Pakistani citizens.

The United Nations said it was temporarily suspending work helping displaced people in Kohat and neighboring Hangu as a result of the attack.

Al-Qaida and Taliban militants based in the northwest have carried out near-daily attacks over the last 18 months in Pakistan, seeking to overthrow its Western-allied government and stop it from fighting them. The blasts have killed several thousand people, but not deterred the army.

Most of the attacks are directed at security or government installations, but civilian targets have also been hit.

The registration point — essentially a small building in a dusty field — may have been hit to persuade people not to have any contact with the local administration or foreign relief groups.

The bombers were disguised in burqas, the all-encompassing veil worn by conservative Muslim women in parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan, allowing them to get close to the building without arousing suspicion, said police officer Abdullah Khan.

This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to finish and send it on to anyone who will read it. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good American? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:

Theologically – no … Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God of Arabia.

Religiously – no … Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally – no … Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.

Geographically – no … Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially – no . . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically – no … Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically – no … Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually – no … Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically – no … Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually – no … Because when we declare ‘one nation under God,’ the Christian’s God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran’s 99 excellent names.

Therefore, after much study and deliberation … Perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both “good” Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish, it’s still the truth. You had better believe it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.

Can a Muslim be a good soldier? Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, opened fire at Ft. Hood and Killed 13. He is a good Muslim!

Changes on the Continent cloud our future “The Europe as you know it from visiting, from your parents or friends is on the verge of collapsing,” Geert Wilders said in a speech in the United States last year. The leader of the Netherlands’ populist Party for Freedom added: “We are now witnessing profound changes that will forever alter Europe’s destiny and might send the Continent in what Ronald Reagan called ‘a thousand years of darkness.’” And not just Europe, but America as well.Been to Europe lately? Thought it was bad? You ain’t seen nothing yet. The passage of the Lisbon Treaty, hailed by President Obama, nailed the coffin shut on national sovereignty in Europe. The people of Europe fought it, but were overwhelmed by their political elites and the lack of American leadership in this age of our rather Marxist, collectivist U.S. president. Come Jan. 1, 2010, a disastrous and suicidal pact called the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (Europe/Mediterranean) goes into effect with little fanfare or examination. It boggles the mind that such a consequential and seismic cultural shift could be mandated and put into play without so much as a murmur from the mainstream media. Why should Americans care about this?

Americans have to care because this global gobbledygook is coming to our shores, thanks to our globalist president. The European human rights group called Stop the Islamization of Europe (SIOE) has been working tirelessly to expose the mass Muslim immigration plan of the Euro-Med Partnership. A statement on the SIOE Web site criticizes the secrecy of the process: “It was shocking to hear about the plans and at the same time knowing that Danish politicians and a [cowardly] Danish press – who is otherwise proud to be critical – has told nothing to the Danish people about this project which begins in January. This also showed clearly at the conference. Only very few politicians showed up and no media. Those politicians who showed up had obviously never heard about the Euro-Mediterranean project.

The goal of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation is to create a new Greater European Union encompassing both Europe and North Africa, with the Mediterranean Sea becoming a domestic Eurabian sea. The goal is to establish a “comprehensive political partnership,” including a “free trade area and economic integration”; “considerably more money for the partners” (that is, more European money flowing into North Africa); and “cultural partnership” – that is, importation of Islamic culture into post-Christian Europe. According to the SIOE, in the Euro-Med plan “Europe is to be islamized. Democracy, Christianity, European culture and Europeans are to be driven out of Europe.

Fifty million North Africans from Muslim countries are to be imported into the EU.” Skeptical? It’s already happening. The British newspaper the Daily Express reported in October 2008 on “a controversial taxpayer-funded ‘job centre’ ” that opened in Mali at that time as “just the first step towards promoting ‘free movement of people in Africa and the EU.’ Brussels economists claim Britain and other EU states will ‘need’ 56 million immigrant workers between them by 2050 to make up for the ‘demographic decline’ due to falling birthrates and rising death rates across Europe.” To offset this decline, a “blue card” system is to be created that will allow card holders to travel freely within the European Union and have full rights to work – as well as the full right to collect welfare benefits. A Muslim population from Africa moving freely into Europe threatens America. On Christmas Day, a Nigerian Muslim flew from Amsterdam to Detroit and tried to explode a bomb on the plane – after he was allowed to board the plane without a passport.

The Euro-Mediterranean Partnership will make jihad attacks like this one all the easier. And once in Europe, Muslims have already begun demanding special privileges and accommodations. IslamOnline reported on Dec. 21 that “Muslims activists from 26 European countries have come together to launch the first rights council to enlighten European Muslims about their rights, monitor rising Islamophobia and defend Muslim rights in European courts of law.” Ali Abu Shwaima, a Muslim leader in Italy, explained: “We think European human rights groups are not doing enough to defend the rights of Muslims. Therefore we thought that we need this new council, especially that all laws and constitutions in Europe respect freedom of religion and oppose all forms of discrimination and racism.” “Islamophobia,” “discrimination” and “racism” are all terms Muslims in Europe and America use to confuse people into thinking that the perpetrators of Islamic terrorism are the real victims. And it is working: Mr. Wilders is going on trial in the Netherlands, instead of all the Islamic hate sponsors he is fighting against. It has to be this way, to increase harmony among the Muslim and non-Muslim member states of the Euro-Med Partnership. This internationalism is already destroying what has made Europe free and great. And now Mr. Obama seems to want to do the same to America.

It’s a strange paradox that, now that Britain is tied to France in the Republican marriage that is the EU, we’re less interested than ever in what happens next door (with the exception of stories that involve Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy, or for that matter any adultery-related gossip that reminds us Brits just how sexually inadequate we are).

Which is a shame, because France is the future, and I mean that in the worst possible way. Mark Steyn might have been exaggerating when he said that France will be the world’s third Islamic nuclear power, but I’m certainly not sure whether I should bother teaching my kids French, or if Arabic may be more handy on their trips across the channel.

But if Steyn’s prediction does turn out to be true it will be because of the French habit of sticking their heads in the sand. France was, after all, the first country in Western Europe to ban opinions when it passed its ridiculous Holocaust Denial law, which set the ball rolling for restrictions on free speech across Europe. And laws once used against Nazi-loving cranks are now used to criticise any opponents of mass immigration.

This is a country that, as anyone who’s visited its seedy cities in recent years can testify, has undergone enormous immigration from North and sub-Saharan Africa, and not all of it has been “enriching”. Not that we can know exactly what the downsides are, because France bans statistics on ethnicity and crime.

Now a French journalist called Éric Zemmour is being tormented by the establishment in a sinister witch-hunt for speaking the truth. On March 6 Zemmour said on a Canal+ talkshow, Salut les terriens, that “French immigrants were more closely monitored than other Frenchmen because most of the drug traffickers were black or Arab… It’s a fact.”

We don’t know for sure whether this is a fact because official statistics are, of course, impossible to find, but there are various studies that suggest that what Zemmour said is broadly true – the nature of the prison population, for example. However, a few days later the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism (LICRA) announced it would take action against him – strange, since Zemmour is Jewish and from a Berber family himself, and certainly does not come from the Catholic-fascist de Maistre tradition of French politics.

The following week, MRAP (Movement Against Racism and for Friendship between Peoples, a Communist Resistance group which has morphed into a familiar-sounding “anti-racism” body) and the Club Averroès, which “defends diversity in the media”, took their case to the CSA, the TV regulation authorities, because Zemmour’s remarks “have racist tones.”

And on March 17, CRAN (Representative Council of Black Associations)) announced that it had protested to the CSA, and to France Télévisions, concerning remarks by Zemmour that he considers discrimination in hiring practices to be a “right”. On that day SOS-Racism, yet another anti-racism group, also lodged a complaint for “racial defamation” against Zemmour’s drug dealer comments, summoning him to appear before a criminal court.

The group said: “Éric Zemmour has been spreading his disgusting ideology on popular television programs for too long. He will have to answer for his statements before the judge.” Scared by all this controversy, Zemmour was sacked by his main employers, the Right-wing newspaper, Le Figaro, who then relented after an internet campaign and 100-strong demonstration outside their office.

It’s all very strange. Zemmour is not a “racist’, rather he’s an integrationist who thinks immigration has gone too far – but he’s come up against a political establishment that increasingly uses the law to enforce the popularity of its utopian vision. They’re determined to make Europe a carnival of cultures and anyone seen not enjoying themselves will be arrested.

And it will affect all of Europe, because in the area of state tyranny, when France sneezes, England soon catches un rhume.

Robert Krentz was murdered while tending to his Arizona ranch last weekend and local police suspect an illegal alien is responsible.  (Fox News, March 30, 2010).   The 58 year-old rancher was gunned down on his own property shortly after radioing his brother Phil that he had encountered an illegal alien.

When Krentz didn’t show up to meet his brother about an hour later as planned, Phil called the police and a search party was formed.  Late that night, Krentz was found slumped over his ATV, shot to death along with his dog. Law enforcement officials with tracker dogs followed the footprints from the crime scene on Krentz’s ranch 15 miles to the border where they crossed into Mexico.

The prominent rancher, who often brought water to illegal aliens and helped those who were injured, was apparently caught by surprise, as his ATV’s engine and lights were still on and he did not use either of the two guns he was carrying with him.  (Fox News, March 30, 2010).  Police believe that he could have been attacked by a drug cartel scout or a member of a band of thieves that has been terrorizing ranches in the area.  It is also possible that Krentz’s murder was a retaliatory killing because just one day before, his brother stopped a caravan of illegal aliens who were carrying 280 pounds of marijuana.  Id. Border patrol arrested all eight illegal aliens and impounded the drugs.

Whatever the motive behind the slaying of this innocent man, neighboring ranchers are both scared and frustrated with the lack of government action to secure the border. Friends and neighbors of the slain rancher denounced politicians for their empty promises to secure the border that failed to protect Krentz on his own land.  (The Arizona Republic, April 1, 2010).  The Krentz family issued a statement urging President Obama to deploy U.S. military personnel to the U.S.-Mexican border, but this is not the first time they have sought help from their elected officials.  The family repeatedly expressed concern to authorities over the $6.2 million damage to their property and livestock caused by “illegal foot traffic,” and Robert’s wife, Susan, wrote to Congress in 2007 that “We are in fear for our lives and safety and health of ourselves and that of our families and friends.”  (Fox News, March 30, 2010).

Lawmakers from Arizona and New Mexico are joining their constituents’ demands that the Obama administration deploy hundreds of National Guard and Border Patrol agents to the southern border. (Fox News, March 30, 2010).  In the wake of the murder, state and federal politicians are calling upon the government to beef up border security and protect American citizens.  Former Congressman J.D. Hayworth, who is currently challenging Senator John McCain’s bid for reelection, said that the killing debunks claims that the border is secure, “To put it diplomatically, that’s incorrect.  To put it realistically, that’s a lie.”  (The Arizona Republic, April 1, 2010).

Senator McCain also called upon the federal government to immediately deploy the National Guard to the border in a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano, who made a similar request to President George W. Bush in 2006 when she was the governor of Arizona.  McCain urged, “I hope that you will take a personal interest in ensuring that Arizonans can feel safe and protected on their own property and not live in fear of the increasing violence along the border.”  (CBS News, March 30, 2010).  Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, whose request for National Guard troops last year was denied by the Obama administration, joined the demand for deployments, calling the killing a “horrible and unnecessary tragedy.”  (Fox News, March 30, 2010).  (Politico, April 2, 2010).   President Obama has not responded to the renewed requests for increased border security, but just last month he spoke to reporters about the issue of National Guard deployments.  (Id.)   Obama has made it clear that he does not want to “militarize” the border, but he called it “unacceptable if you’ve got drug gangs crossing our borders and killing our citizens.” .

The release of internal documents last week revealed that ICE officials recently set quotas to deport more illegal aliens in 2010 than the previous year.  (The Washington Post, March 27, 2010).  As the Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) spokesman is scrambling to distance the agency from the content of the documents, amnesty forces are decrying the apparent move to enforce immigration laws, what they call a betrayal.  The special interest groups are in an uproar because the memos from January and February of this year indicate that U.S. immigration authorities are both seeking to reverse a severe drop in deportations, and to do so are moving away from the Obama administration’s public pledge to focus enforcement efforts solely on violent criminal illegal aliens.  (ICE Memos).

The internal memos have stirred controversy among opposition groups because they suggest a deviation from the public commitments made by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE chief John T. Morton.  Over the past year, Napolitano has expressed a determination to abandon the worksite enforcement actions and neighborhood sweeps the Bush administration focused on, and instead vocally supported the deportation of criminal aliens.  (The Washington Post, March 27, 2010).  However, in a February 22, 2010 memo authored by Jim Chaparro, head of ICE detention and removal operations (DRO), the senior official noted that deportations for the current year were already down significantly, and that ICE agents would have to focus their efforts on more than criminal aliens in order to meet the agency’s goal of 400,000 removals this year.  Id. The memo has attracted attention not only for the rare statement of ICE enforcement goals in explicit terms, but because Chaparro – who was also a senior Homeland Security Official under President Bush – also provided a road map to help agents deport more illegal aliens.

Unfortunately, instead of defending the appropriate expansion of removal activities, ICE spokesman Brian P. Hale was quick to distance DHS leaders from it. “Portions of the memo were inconsistent with ICE, inconsistent with the administration’s point of view and inconsistent with the secretary,” said Hale.  Id. Morton also released a statement that the memo was issued without his authorization, adding, “We are strongly committed to carrying out our priorities to remove serious criminal offenders first and we definitively do not set quotas.”  (The Los Angeles Times, March 31, 2010).   Morton is under fire from amnesty activists who are calling for his removal because they view the memo as “a clear violation” of his previous statements.  According to the Center for Community Change, “ICE has gone rogue and needs to be reined in with dramatic action.”  Id.

The news that immigration officials could be committed to actually enforcing the law has been met with disbelief and intense anger from amnesty advocates, leading Morton to promise that the memo had been “withdrawn and corrected.”  Chaparro also released a new memo clarifying that his earlier statement  “signals no shift in the important steps we have taken to date to focus our priorities on the smart and effective enforcement of immigration laws, prioritizing dangerous criminal aliens…while also adhering to Congressional mandates to maintain an average daily [detention] population and meet annual performance measures.”  (The Washington Post, March 27, 2010).  Interestingly, Chaparro did not alter or rescind any of the strategies he had previously outlined to combat the sharp decline of deportations.
